yann keller. bassplayer, experimentalist on many fields. after studying doubblebass in jazz an important step was the construction of own instruments like the steelbass. it is derived from a lightningrods ground spear and manifests the break with any traditional jazz. this was also the result of experiences in sculptural work where the term sculpture is shifting between the media. it is an object with the function of a stringbass. another view is an improvisation in material. a piece of improvised music is a sculpture in time. the improvisation is relatet to different musical styles. f.e noise, electronic music, punk, folkloristic elements, hardcore, and as the connecting attitude, freejazz. the idea which is transformed out of its time with new sound into here and now.
